QTH: Neuendorf, 35km NW of Hamburg, Germany
Current configuration:
TRX Kenwood TS-850S, connected to a FD4 windom, 15m off ground, looking to NW/SE direction. I know this antenna is close to a dummyload, but I will change that in the future. For more details about my setup check the "Articles" section in the main menu.
I was 13 years off from the radio. I started again in mid 2004 when i got my TS-50. I soon found out that this device is nothing for me when I listened to the audio bites available all arround the net (but the most interesting on the www.nu9n.com site) - These files really blowed me off my chair. After some research I got the TS-850 / DSP-100 set for a fair price.
Thats what I am using since December 2004 now and I am pretty satisfied with it. I have done some of the modifications mentioned on the available sites and it works wide nearly "out of the box". Good sound - easy done.
If you are interested how things sound, have a look at the audio-bites in the showroom of our download-area.
Besides radio:
What else to say? Well, I don´t spend all of my time with the radio. I really love playing around with the station, but we have our house here that needs a lot of maintanance. "we" is my girlfriend Steffi and me. We are going to marry soon. And I have my horse "Spirit". She´s a Pinto and she is really worth to be mentioned here. So when the weather is ok, I go out for a ride. I love it. We actually do a lot of training. Thats where I spend most of my time actually. Maybe one day she will do these cool sliding stops and spins - who knows. But actually we are far away from it now, she´s under the sadle for 1,5 years now and I am also in the beginner league. Found a good trainer which helps me alot.
We are QRV almost every evening on 10m in the area around Hamburg, sometimes on 40m and 80m and mostly on 20m and 17m when the conditions are not too bad. You are welcome to join in or to contact me via ICQ for a little chat.
Comments welcome!
Cu on the air ...
Kind regards, Andy
